Arm talent -Possesses the arm talent needed by an NFL quarterback. Able to make accurate throws with velocity when in rhythm. Able to roll out and make throws from 40 yards away when under pressure. Excels in the short to medium passing game with tight windows
Compact frame -Able to implement an RPO offensive scheme. Toughness is apparent with his utilization of quarterback draws
Ball-handling – Somewhat sluggish when making RPO plays. Slow to recognize and counter the blitz pre-snap. Struggles to decipher coverages post-snap
Indecision on-field – Needs better field-awareness pre-snap or else he gets outplayed by defensive coordinators on the other team. Indecisiveness leads to sacks. Tends to run receivers into big hits
Jordan Ta’amu has the assets needed to be a successful NFL quarterback, although some clean-up of his play-style is needed. This will be attained with a professional coaching staff which is far superior to what he experienced in college. He has enough talent to make it to an NFL training camp, but where he goes from there will depend on how much he works on his play, and if a team gives him an opportunity. If this opportunity happens, he should find an incredible situation for success.
